First Chicago PUG Blog
Welcome to the Chicago PostgreSQL User Group (PUG), a group dedicated to the utilization and promotion of the open-source database PostgreSQL.
Chicago PUG is one of several worldwide regional user groups that host regular meetings [formerly in-person and currently virtual] with speakers presenting on topics related to PostgreSQL.
These sessions are free and open to all.
This is the first inaugural post of the official Chicago PUG blog.
The purpose of PUG in general and this blog in particular is to educate participants about the various uses of PostgreSQL as a relational database.
The blog will supplement and enhance the meetup site and webinars.
Content of future blogs will consist of the following:
Schedule of upcoming meetings with speaker bios and topic descriptions
Announcements and event details
Subject matter discussions and tutorials
Valentin Kulichenko from GridGain Systems will present a talk entitled "Distributed Java Databases Under the Hood: Main Components and Interactions Between Them" on April 13, 2021.
